This page says what the Fold Arkitekter ApS website stores about you, why, for how long and how to have it deleted. It is short because we store very little.

This is a demonstration

Fold is a fictional studio and this site is a demonstration of how a studio website can be built. A brief sent through the contact form is stored for real, so that the form can be tested, but nobody at a real studio reads it or replies to it. Everything below describes how that stored data is handled.

What we store

When you send a brief we store the answers you give: the kind of project, the location, the size if you gave it, the budget band, the start time, your description, your name and your email address. We also store the time it was sent and a reference number.

To stop one person from sending the form over and over, we store a short code made from your IP address and a secret key that only the server knows. The code cannot be turned back into the address. It is kept with the times of your recent attempts and removed after an hour.

What we do not store

• No cookies and no local storage are used.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts are loaded.
• No third party receives your visit: the fonts and images are served from this site.
• Server logs hold a request number and the kind of event, never what you typed.

Why we store it

We store a brief because you asked us to, by ticking the box on the form. That consent is our reason under article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. You can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

A brief is kept for 24 months and then deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do so within 30 days and tell you when it is done.

Where it is kept

Briefs are stored in a managed Postgres database from Neon, in the Amazon Web Services region us-east-1 in the United States. The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address while delivering pages. A studio running this site for real clients would choose an EU region for the database.

Your rights

You can ask to see the brief we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to privacy@studio.phoenixcodes.org and include your reference number, or the email address you used and the date you sent it.
